To check the oil level of the BMW 1 Series, turn on the instrument cluster by inserting the key into the ignition and pressing the relevant button. Once powered on, access the menu using the button located on the lever to the left of the steering wheel.

By moving the switch on this lever, scroll through the menu options until you find the one related to engine oil. Below it, a bar will indicate the amount of oil present in the system.
