How to Change the Battery of the BMW Remote Key?

When you notice that the remote key no longer opens the doors, the battery inside has likely run out. To replace the battery, you need a pointed object or a cutter to open the two shells that make up the key itself, then remove the rear cover to access the compartment containing the battery. Slide the battery out of its housing and take the new one, ensuring it is the same model. Then reinsert the battery into the housing and refit the rear cover of the key.
