How to Reset the Brake System Warning Light on the BMW X1

Model: BMW X1 E84 - Years 2009-2015

In this video, you will learn how to reset the brake system warning light on the BMW X1. When maintenance is needed for the brakes (or other systems), a message appears on both the instrument cluster display and the onboard computer in the center console between the two front passengers. To clear the two warning lights, turn on the ignition and press and hold the button located to the left of the gauge for at least 5 seconds until the maintenance service message regarding the brakes appears on the display. Once the message appears, press the button again until you are prompted to proceed with the reset. At this point, press the button one more time to start the reset process.
