How do you remove the rear exterior handle of the BMW 3 Series?

In order to remove the external door handle of the BMW 3 Series, it is necessary to open the door and move the side seal, in order to access the circular cap at the handle. By removing this cap, it will be possible to unscrew the screw underneath: when this screw is loosened, it will be possible to remove the door lock by sliding it from the outside. Once the lock has been removed, the handle can be removed from the side, inserting a new spare part. After replacement, the lock must be reinserted, fixing it with its lateral screw.
