In today's video, you will learn how to disassemble and replace the shift lever bushings on a BMW 3 Series E46 by following these simple steps. First, get inside the vehicle and start by removing the shift knob and boot. Next, unscrew the screws at the base of the plastic cover, disconnecting the various electrical connectors underneath. At this point, remove the rubber to access the bushing and bearing of the shift lever. Finally, remove the lever and replace the bushing and bearing with new ones, making sure to lubricate everything.
