How to Replace the Shift Knob on a BMW 3 Series

Before you can start, sit in the driver's seat of your BMW 3 Series. This operation must be performed with the engine off and the parking brake engaged to avoid any risk. Begin by putting the gear lever in neutral. Next, grasp and pull up the shift knob. This will remove it from the gear lever, successfully completing the disassembly. To install the new shift knob, simply insert it onto the gear lever, and you will have completed the replacement.
