Replacing the water pump in your car can be a bit complicated, but with some determination, you can do it yourself. This guide shows the necessary steps to carefully disassemble it. First, open the hood and remove the plastic cover that blocks the filter by unscrewing the screws that protect it. Next, remove the cover that secures the belt using a 10 mm socket wrench. Then, remove the tensioner bearing using the socket wrench again, and finally, slide the timing belt off its tracks. At this point, you can extract the water pump by removing the 4 screws on it.
