Instructions for Removing the Light Switch

Model: BMW Serie 3 E46 - Years 1998-2006

To remove the light control knob (located on the dashboard, to the left of the driver), first remove the trim piece of the center dashboard fascia (in this case with a wood grain finish): pry along the edges to release the clips; at this point, you can access the screws securing the light switch, unscrew them, and pull the switch forward (if necessary, always pry along the lower edge) while disconnecting the corresponding connector (bayonet locking connector).
