How to replace the exterior door handle of the BMW 3 Series

We see in this guide the necessary instructions that will allow us to remove and replace the external door handle of the BMW 3 Series. First we open the front door and start removing the door panel; to do this we unscrew all the fixing screws that we find on the sides and under the various covers, as shown in the video. Once the panel has been removed we go to completely raise the glass of the car manually, unscrewing the screw of the bracket; then unscrew the side screw of the handle, removing first the rectangular piece and then the handle itself, applying the reverse procedure for reassembly!

Removing the Door Panel on a BMW Z3

Remove the front left door panel on a BMW Z3. Use a screwdriver to remove the trim around the upper door handle. Take out the switch panel from the door panel (disconnect the connector), unscrew the remaining screws on the door panel, and detach the retaining clips. Finally, pull the panel away by hand and disconnect it from the door (disconnect the power wiring and the opening cable if present on the model). Perform the desired maintenance inside the door. Refit the panel after maintenance.
