Replacing the Center Console in Your Car

This guide shows how to disassemble the center console of your car. To access the center console, you need to remove the gear shift boot and unscrew the screws located under the glove compartment. Remove the carpet from the area between the two front seats by using a flathead screwdriver to pry between the carpet and the plastic of the compartment. Under the carpet, there is only one screw that unlocks the center console frame; once that is removed, you will have quick access to all the buttons with integrated lights, which should be checked carefully for contact before replacing them.
