To replace the rear headlight bulb on a BMW 2 Series, open the trunk to access the top of the headlight. There will be a small cover that needs to be opened to remove the screw underneath; once this screw is removed, you can pull the headlight out of its housing to access the back.

From here, you can remove the bulb and replace it with a new one; after the replacement, reattach the headlight in its place.
