In this tutorial we can see how to replace the trunk lock in BMW 3 Series, a very simple and fast operation. First of all, make sure that the vehicle is switched off, then open the tailgate and disengage all the plastic rivets holding the internal panel. Once this is done, unscrew the lock fixing bolts with a Torx T30 key, separate it from the tailgate and disconnect both the connector and the actuator cord. To assemble the spare, simply place it in the appropriate housing and follow exactly the reverse procedure.
