How to Reset the Oil Warning Light on a BMW 1 Series F40

If you notice the oil warning light illuminated on the instrument cluster of your BMW 1 Series F40 (2019-2023) despite having already changed the oil, you need to perform the following manual reset. First, insert the key and press the ignition button three times in quick succession to enter diagnostic mode. Next, press and hold the "BC" button located at the end of the left steering lever for a few seconds. Release it as soon as you see the oil warning light on the mini display, then press and hold it again until the reset is complete.
