Removing the Rear Door Panel

Model: BMW Serie 5 E39 - Years 1995-2003
Part: Door trim panel

To remove the rear door panel, start by unscrewing the lock, disconnecting the window switch, and removing the protective cap over the screw inside the handle trim. Then, unscrew the underlying screw, disconnect the overhead light assembly under the panel, and unclip the pressure clips along the edges. To complete the removal, disconnect the wiring harness connectors and, if necessary, also remove the sound-deadening material by peeling it off carefully to avoid tearing it (a utility knife can be used).
