Before you start, open the door of your BMW 5 Series. Begin by disengaging the side airbag clip.

Next, unscrew the screws that secure the door panel. Once you have completed this step, carefully pry and remove the panel using a thin but sturdy tool.

This will allow you to pull the door panel away enough to access the electrical connectors, which you will need to disconnect. After completing this step, you can finally remove the door panel, successfully finishing the disassembly.
