Refilling the coolant in the BMW 5 Series, as we can see in this tutorial, is an extremely simple and fast operation. First of all, make sure that the engine is perfectly cold, as any spills of boiling liquid can be very dangerous. Let's start by opening the bonnet, then locate the expansion tank cap: it is located just behind the left headlight. Once the cap is open, place a funnel in the hole and pour in the amount of liquid needed to reach a level between the minimum and maximum.
