Learn how to replace the coolant in the radiator of a BMW 5 Series. Disconnect the radiator valve at the bottom using pliers, and let the rusty, dirty fluid drain into a container. Flush the cooling system with a suitable flushing fluid, and repeat this process until the hoses and radiator are completely clean. Close the valve that was previously opened, and tighten the metal clamp bolts of the radiator in the engine compartment. Prepare to refill with the new coolant. Check for any leaks in the system.
