How to reset the service light on the BMW 5 Series E60

It may happen that the yellow service light on your BMW 5 Series E60 stays on even after performing the regular service. In this case, the only solution is to perform the following reset procedure. First, insert the key and turn on the ignition of your E60. Next, locate and hold down the button located below the speedometer. As soon as the new menu appears on the mini display, release the button and press it multiple times until you see the vehicle maintenance option. At this point, press and hold the same button again and release it once the reset is complete.
