How to Replace the Outer Handle on a BMW 3 Series?

To replace the outer handle on a BMW 3 Series, open the door to detach the circular cover on the side of the door. Under this cover, you will find the screw that needs to be loosened to extract the lock cylinder from its housing. Once the old lock is removed, you can also slide the handle out of its housing to insert the new one. Finally, reposition the door lock and secure it with the side screw.
