To clear the airbag error on the BMW 5 Series E60, close all four doors and turn on the ignition to check the warning light, then turn it off. Insert the Carly module into the OBD port (the Carly module is a diagnostic reader). Connect the vehicle, scan it, then go to diagnostics, and perform the "check-in" which allows the device to verify all vehicle issues.

Clear all errors that the module found. Perform the check again.

At this point, the error is gone. Turn on the ignition again to check the status of the light, which is indeed off.
