In this tutorial, you will see how to replace the cabin air filter in a BMW 3 Series, a very simple and quick operation. First, ensure the engine is cool enough. Then, open the hood, locate the long plastic housing right in front of the windshield, and using a 8mm socket wrench, remove the bolts along its perimeter. Once done, remove the upper half of the box, separate the filter from it, and clean any dirt residue present. Finally, insert the new part and follow the reverse procedure to reassemble everything.
