How to Replace the Glass on a BMW 5 Series Headlight

If you have a BMW 5 Series that is a few years old, you may have noticed dirt accumulating on the front headlights that cannot be removed. With about $70 (the price of just the polycarbonate glass), a bit of skill, and a lot of patience, you can replace the glass and make the headlight look practically new and clean. Use a small router to remove the polycarbonate from its housing, clean the silver part well, then with the router fitted with a disc the same size as the groove where you will reattach the new polycarbonate, remove the excess material left from the first routing. Apply the new glass with black silicone, being careful not to smear. Allow it to dry thoroughly and put everything back in place. Perfect result with great savings.
