Operation: How do you replace the convertible top motor on the BMW Z4?

In order to replace the convertible top motor of the BMW Z4, it is necessary to fully lift the top so that access to the underlying motor can be obtained. This motor will be located on the left side of the top, corresponding to the driver's seat. By loosening all the screws that secure it and disconnecting the connectors, it will be possible to completely remove the motor so that the new replacement part can be inserted. This can now be properly secured and connected, in order to verify that the entire mechanism functions correctly.

You do not need any diagnostic tools and will be able to complete the whole procedure without any difficulty. First, go inside the car and make sure it is completely turned off. Then keep the accelerator pedal pressed and at the same time press the brake pedal six times consecutively. When finished, keep both pedals pressed and turn on the ignition. Press the brake pedal again six more times and keep both pedals depressed for approximately 50 seconds. Turn off the ignition. Release the brake pedal and hold the accelerator pedal for another 50 seconds to complete the procedure.
