Operation: How to replace the hydraulic motor of the soft top of a BMW Z4

In order to get started, we will need to open the trunk. Let's start by removing the top cover that is between the trunk and the hood housing. Once this is done, we proceed with unscrewing and removing all the bolts along the perimeter of the hood housing. At this point we will have to move into the cockpit. On the sides of the rear seats there are two grilles, which we are going to remove. Below the grids, there are respectively a bolt for the grille, also to be unscrewed and removed. Once this is done, we will have to remove the edges of the hood from their housing, and disconnect the plug that operates it. At this point we can remove the hood. When we have finished removing the hood, we will have obtained access to the taste hydraulic motor. It will be necessary to go and disconnect the plugs connected to it. Once the pins have been disconnected, we will have successfully removed the hydraulic motor that drives the soft top. To fit the new hydraulic motor, simply follow the steps in reverse.
