As you can see in this tutorial, replacing the radio in a BMW X1 is a very simple and quick operation. Before proceeding, ensure the key is not in the ignition for safety.

Start by prying off the cover containing the air vents, then remove the two screws from the glove compartment and take it out. Next, pry off the lower panel, disassemble the climate control console, and remove the two screws from the radio. At this point, you can pull the module out of the dashboard, disconnect the rear connectors, and install the replacement if necessary.
