How to Replace the Timing Chain on a BMW 3 Series?

To replace the timing chain on a BMW 3 Series, open the hood to access the components inside the engine bay. The timing chain is located at the front of the engine block and can be removed by taking off the protective cover and any obstructing components like the radiator. Once the chain is accessible, unscrew the bolts securing the tensioner, reduce its tension, and replace it with a new one. After the replacement, reinstall the tensioner and all previously removed components.
