Removing the Front Door Handle

Model: BMW Serie 3 E46 - Years 1998-2006

If you need to remove the front door handle, it is not necessary to take off the door panel: simply move the rubber of the weatherstrip to access the screw that secures the lock of the handle and extract the lock itself; at this point, pull the handle and insert a Torx screwdriver through the same hole as the lock pin to unscrew the handle's fastening screw to complete the removal. Proceed in reverse for installation, ensuring to secure the handle with the appropriate screw and then the lock, properly seating the underlying weatherstrip.
