Let's see how to replace the damaged handle on a BMW 3 Series E92: First, obtain the replacement handle, which you can find on eBay with the code 402241753932 for $34.90 each (including shipping). To remove it, first take off the wood trim from the door using a plastic trim tool. Use the same tool to pry the handle apart. Once the top part is removed, unscrew the screws that secure the bottom part to the body. Again, use the same tool to help remove the entire door cover from the body. Disconnect all electrical connectors. If necessary, take a photo to ensure you reconnect them correctly. Now, from the back, remove the plastic screws that hold the rear part of the handle. Proceed to install the new handle by inserting the screws that are part of the kit. Now that the base is reassembled, replace the door panel. Snap the top part back into place, and the job is done.
