This brief and simple video tutorial shows all the necessary steps to replace the battery in the remote control of a second-generation BMW 1 Series, produced from 2011 to 2019. This procedure also applies to various models of BMW 1 Series from other generations with a similar remote. First, remove the physical key from the remote, then take off the rear cover by prying it from one of the designated tabs. Once the cover is removed, you will see the old battery that needs replacing, so replace it and finally refit everything. The required battery is the DL2450, 3V.
