Replacing the battery of a BMW Series 3 is a very simple operation to perform independently, thanks also to our short video tutorial that will illustrate the steps to follow. The first thing to do is to open the trunk and remove the clips on the battery cover located on the right side. Once the cover is removed, we can proceed to remove the battery from its housing. Let's start by disconnecting the negative terminal first and then the positive terminal. Never perform this operation in reverse as it is very dangerous. Once the battery is disconnected, remove the remaining cables and then insert the new battery. Connect the positive pole first and then the negative pole. All that's left is to turn on the car's ignition and then the engine itself. After that, you will need to register the new battery using a computer and OBD port.
