Replacing the Tensioner for the Serpentine Belt

Model: BMW Serie 5 E61, E60 - Years 2003-2010

Open the hood and locate the serpentine belt in front of the engine, behind the radiator. Choose the appropriate wrench, insert it into the tensioner pulley, and rotate it clockwise to relieve tension from the belt, allowing you to remove it. Next, use the appropriate wrench to remove the bolt that secures the tensioner in place. Now, install the new tensioner by reversing the previous steps. Position the belt according to the diagram shown in the images (always relieving tension by rotating the tensioner clockwise).
The operation shown in the images was performed on a BMW 5 Series.
