How to Clean the Throttle Body

Model: BMW Serie 3 E46 - Years 1998-2006
Part: Throttle body

First, remove the plastic tube connected to the element where the throttle body is located. Do this by unscrewing the clamps that hold it in place and pulling it off the fittings. Protect the part of the engine below the fitting that houses the throttle body and, using a suitable product, spray the cleaning fluid. Wipe the throttle body with a cloth (make sure it rotates by acting on the throttle cable). Spray more specialized product and wipe with a dry cloth. After this, spray a bit of oil on the sides of the throttle shaft to lubricate it. Reinstall the tubes that you removed. This maintenance operation was performed on a BMW 3 Series.
