Throttle Body Cleaning Instructions

Model: BMW Serie 3 E46 - Years 1998-2006

Remove the air filter housing by disconnecting the front intake duct and the hose connected to the mass air flow sensor. Disconnect the connector attached to the mass air flow sensor and remove it from its hose; continue by removing the various intake hoses, disconnecting any tubes and fittings until you reach the throttle body. Clean the throttle body with appropriate spray, wiping away any residue with a clean rag: if necessary, repeat the cleaning process multiple times. Unscrew the throttle body mounting screws and remove it from its location: complete the cleaning with the appropriate spray. Reassemble everything, and if the previously removed hoses show any damage, replace them with new ones.
