Removing the Starter Motor from the BMW 3 Series

Follow these steps to remove and replace the starter motor on your BMW 3 Series. First, open the hood of your car and disconnect the battery terminals. Next, lift the vehicle and remove the plastic cover located under the engine by unscrewing all the mounting screws with a socket wrench, as shown in the video. At this point, disconnect the various hoses and clamps to access the starter motor, unscrewing the mounting screws and disconnecting the electrical connector to remove it and replace it with the new one!
