Remove the Starter Motor on BMW 3 Series

What to do if the starter motor is damaged? Let's see how to remove the starter motor from a BMW. Lift the hood, disconnect the battery cables. Remove the engine soundproofing panel along with the attached wires. Disconnect the exhaust connector, then disconnect the starter motor power terminals using pliers or a screwdriver depending on the pressure of the tabs. Use a socket wrench to remove the mounting bolts of the starter motor. Once the bolts are removed, take out the starter motor from the engine compartment. Replace it with a new part.
