Removing the Front Door Panel

Model: BMW Serie 5 E39 - Years 1995-2003
Part: Door trim panel

Before removing the panel, disconnect the battery. Now, use a small plastic pry tool to remove the small switch panel from its housing. Disconnect the various electrical power cables. Remove the lock cylinder retaining screw. Take out the small dome light and disconnect the power supply. Unscrew the two screws, one above the pocket in the panel and one behind the release lever under a small plastic cap. Now, using a suitable tool, pry the panel away from the door by unlocking the clips. Disconnect the speaker power cables and other electrical devices, and unlock the release lever panel. The maintenance operation shown in the images is performed on a BMW 5 Series.
