This short and simple procedure will show you how to open the key fob and replace the battery of the BMW 5 Series key. First, take your key fob and remove the physical key from inside it; then remove the rear plastic cover to access the battery, as shown in the video.

At this point, if necessary, replace the battery with a new one of the correct type (in this case, a CR 2032 3V); insert it in the correct orientation and finally reassemble your key fob, following the video until the end!
