The replacement of the battery of the 2006 BMW 5 Series remote control is a simple and quick operation to be carried out independently. To replace the battery, we need to use a CR2032 battery. Remove the top part of the remote control by pulling out the emergency key. Insert a screwdriver into the remote control and apply upward pressure to remove the cover of the remote control. If you are unable to open the remote control despite the pressure, use a cutter. Replace the battery and close the cover of the remote control. Insert the emergency key inside and test the functionality of the key.
