To replace the remote battery for the BMW 5 Series, press the button located on the bottom of the device to slide the key out of its housing. Once the key is removed, pry inside its slot to open the remote. This will allow you to extract the battery and replace it with a new one. After inserting the new battery, close the remote and check that everything works.
