The remote key battery for this car model is rechargeable (Panasonic ML2020 VL2020) and is soldered to the electronic circuit of the remote itself, so replacement is not actually intended; in fact, the remote shells are not snap-fit but thermally welded.

To replace the battery, you must first extract the mechanical key and then use a utility knife to separate the two shells to access the circuit board.

You will then need a solder sucker to desolder the old battery and solder in the new one; finally, you can choose to bond the two shells with glue or purchase new ones.
