In this video we see how to replace the serpentine belt on a BMW 3 Series E46 version: after opening the front hood we remove the air filter and the air duct; in this way we will expose the serpentine belt. We unscrew the tensioner pulley in order to lift the belt, which we will then remove by levering from the top. In the transparent drawing, we see how the new belt should be reinstalled: it is a rather winding path; we must also pay attention to the direction in which the belt will rotate. Remember to also change the tensioner pulley, then put the air filter back in place and the job is done.
