How to Replace the Mass Air Flow Sensor on a BMW X3

Model: BMW X3 MK 1, E83 - Years 2003-2010

First, disconnect and lift the hood. Next, locate the position of the sensor; it is found in the intake tube of the air intake in the engine cover. Once you have located the sensor, as shown in the video, remove the tie that secures the air intake tube. Now, disconnect the connector at the top of the sensor, allowing you to extract the tube along with the sensor. Replace the sensor, and then retrace your steps to reassemble the various parts.

How to Open the Bonnet on the Lancia Y
