In this video, we can see how to change the emergency system battery of the BMW X1. The battery is installed directly in the rescue module, which is located on the ceiling, directly under the external antenna arch. To reach the battery, we need to slightly remove the ceiling trim of the car, moving the trunk seal, which will allow us to access the ceiling cavity. Once removed, lower the arch slightly to release the clips so that we can reach the modules. Here we will find a plastic clip through which we can push the module towards the front of the vehicle, to move it without disconnecting the wires to open the white plastic door; once opened, simply remove the battery and replace it.
