The service light on the BMW 3 Series activates when it's time for a maintenance service. After completing the maintenance, you can proceed to reset the light.

First, turn on the ignition and press the left button on the instrument cluster to access the vehicle's mileage and initiate the reset. Set the next mileage for the service and complete the reset by turning off the ignition and turning it back on again.

If the service light does not turn off, there may be an issue with the control module that is not decoding the message.
