Checking the fluid levels in the various reservoirs of the BMW 3 Series model E46 is very important as it helps prevent unpleasant and costly situations. The first fluid to check is the oil. To do this, pull out the dipstick and ensure the level is between the minimum and maximum marks; if not, top it off with the specific oil. The second fluid to check is the coolant.

In this case, the reservoir is transparent, making it easy to see the remaining quantity and refill as needed. The third fluid to check is the brake fluid.

Again, the reservoir is transparent, and if it is close to the minimum, you need to refill it and check the brake pads. The fourth fluid to check is the windshield washer fluid.
