In this video, see how to change the battery in a Cadillac remote. This is a five-button remote, but the system will be the same for all remotes of this brand. You will need a CR2032 battery, which can be easily found at any supermarket: The first thing to do is remove the emergency key from the base of the remote by pressing the small button on the side. To remove the rear cover, use the key to pry from the slot where it came out: the cover will lift, allowing you to remove the back cover where the battery that needs replacing is located. Still using the key, pry the battery out of its housing, place the new one in - paying attention to the polarity - and close the cover. Reinsert the emergency key and the job is done.
