Let’s see how to temporarily repair a broken air hose on a Chevrolet Nubira. The air intake hose, which carries air from the filter to the engine, has broken at its accordion joints. Instead of buying a new part, the YouTuber created an economical repair using a 2-litre plastic bottle: they cut a piece of plastic from the bottle to the right size to wrap around the broken joint, then wrapped the plastic piece around the broken part of the hose and gently heated the edges of the plastic with a lighter. The heat causes the plastic to shrink and slightly melt, sealing the gap and holding everything together. This is clearly an emergency solution. The YouTuber also admits that it would be better to replace the part!
