How to Replace the ECU on the Chevrolet Cruze

Model: Chevrolet Cruze MK 1, J300 - Years 2009-2015

To replace the ECU, follow this procedure: first, disconnect the negative and positive terminals of the battery. The ECU is located on the right side of the engine next to the battery. First, disconnect the three electrical connectors by unlocking the clips with a screwdriver. Then, use a 10 mm spanner to unscrew the four securing nuts (two on the top and two on the bottom) that hold the ECU to the chassis. Now the ECU will be free and can be extracted from the engine bay. Finally, take the new ECU, position it, and reverse all operations to reassemble the components.
