Replacing Front Brake Pads

Model: Chevrolet Kalos MK 1 - Years 2002-2008

To replace the front brake pads, lift the vehicle on suitable axle stands and remove the front wheel. At this point, do not remove the entire brake caliper but only the lower bolt to lift the caliper upwards and access the pad area in the bracket. Slide out the old pads and insert the new ones (it is advisable to apply copper grease to the back of the pads and in the sliding guides). Then, retract the caliper piston by using a C-clamp or simply with a pair of pliers. Reposition the caliper and tighten the relevant fixing bolt.
