If you own the new Chevrolet Silverado and want to learn how to replace the key battery safely and independently, just read the following mini guide carefully and follow the steps. First, remove the emergency key and use a flathead screwdriver to fully open the cover.

Once done, locate the old battery and remove it. Insert the new one (model CR 2450) and reattach the back cover. Finally, reinsert the emergency key, and you're done.
